Events & Activities held by the Plymouth and District Branch of Parkinson's UK
The Plymouth branch hold monthly meetings at Emmanuel Church Hall, Compton Avenue, Mannamead (see map) on the second Tuesday of each month at 2.30pm. These meetings normally include a presentation from a local person on subjects of interest for example a most recent one was on the history of Devonport by a local historian. The event is held in an informal atmosphere with tea and coffee served and a raffle for those who feel lucky.
ACTIVITIES:-
We organise a number of activities during the year and a warm welcome awaits all people with Parkinson's, their carers and supporters. We are always looking to extend our list of activities and will keep you informed via this web site. Weekly Gentle Exercise Classes, led by fully trained physiotherapists:

DROP-IN CENTRE
The Centre provides an opportunity for people to come together in an informal setting for companionship and support. It is hoped that this will lead to the inclusion of social activities such as painting, dancing, singing and access to Nintendo Wii. It will take place at the Mount Gould Methodist Church Hall two Mondays a month starting at 2 pm until 4 pm. The dates for these events can be found on the ‘Program of Events’ list below. See Map
